Myder Fire Support Services

Repair, Maintenance, and Testing on Various Types of Fire Apparatus and Fleet Trucks

Founded by both Richard Snyder and Clayton Mayo in 2008. Both men had an extensive background in the fire industry largely due to being associated with Freightliner and American LaFrance dating back to the Late 1990s.

Richard Snyder traveled for American LaFrance training and repairing trucks in many parts of the United States for several years. Richard later moved up to being the warranty manager for American LaFrance at ATC Freightliner in Oklahoma City.

Clayton Mayo started working at Freightliner in Oklahoma City through the Okmulgee College in 2002. He would later take the job of being lead mechanic over the fire maintenance in Amarillo, Texas. It was there that Clayton had achieved Master ASE/EVT Technician status. In a time when the economy was in a downturn and Freightliner and American LaFrance were changing, Richard Snyder felt that it was time to branch out and start a business of his own. Clayton Mayo partnered up with Richard to form Myder Fire Support Services. Myder Fire Support Services started its journey in Clayton’s shop in Okarche, Oklahoma.
